Casselton's Nathan Nowak is able to avoid the tag by Central Valley-Hillsboro catcher Jake Olsen, but is ruled to have missed the plate on his dive by less than an inch and tagged out before he can get back and touch. The play proved critical, ending the Casselton rally in the top of the sixth, preventing an important insurance run, and holding the Casselton lead to 2-1. In the third inning of the second game of the North Dakota Class A Legion EDC Tournament at Jack Williams Stadium, Jamestown pitcher Adam Wieland appears to reach around Whapeton catcher Jess Sedler's blocking leg and touch the corner of the plate as he tries to score from third on a flyout.
