Casselton's Nathan Nowak is able to avoid the tag by Central Valley-Hillsboro catcher Jake Olsen, but is ruled to have missed the plate on his dive by less than an inch and tagged out before he can get back and touch. The play proved critical, ending the Casselton rally in the top of the sixth, preventing an important insurance run, and holding the Casselton lead to 2-1.
